Quando Lisa l'ha scelta per il suo matrimonio, sapevo che il trucco doveva essere all'altezza del luogo. La neoclassica Villa Miani fu costruita nella seconda metà dell'Ottocento e resta una delle location per matrimoni più prestigiose di Roma. Set on the Monte Mario hill, close to the dome of St Peter's Basilica, it offers one of the widest and most exclusive panoramic views over Rome you could imagine. When Lisa chose it for her wedding, I knew the makeup had to rise to the setting. Lisa travelled to Rome from London for a destination wedding full of light, marble and warm Roman summer.
Villa Miani, a setting like a painting
Neoclassical Villa Miani was built in the second half of the 19th century and remains one of Rome's most prestigious wedding venues. Italian gardens, terraces, marble floors and a panorama of the Eternal City stretching to the horizon. It is a setting where every detail matters, makeup included, because in that light and against that architecture the camera records every choice.
A calm bridal morning
On the wedding day the whole group got ready together: Lisa, her mum, the groom's mother, sisters-in-law and close friends. The heart of a well-run morning is not speed but rhythm.
