Castello Monaci has a separate, dedicated beauty-prep room, which is a real advantage with a larger party. It is very spacious, with mirrors, high chairs and room for several makeup artists and hairstylists to work at the same time. The room is air-conditioned, which in July in Puglia matters enormously, both for comfort and for how the makeup lasts.
The light, and whether you need your own lamp
The room has windows on almost every side, so the natural light is very good. From experience I still bring my own lamp, because it gives full control over the light at any time of day. At the same time, the conditions at Castello Monaci are good enough that an experienced artist will manage without one.

We started early, around eight in the morning. I did makeup for the mother of the bride, the bridesmaids, one more person from the bridal party and, last, Eleni, while the hairstylists worked in the same room at the same time.
